ACTIVITIES
Goose Creek Ventures LLC is a boutique advisory and angel investing company, servicing early stage companies active in three distinctive sectors, FinTech, MedTech and Sustainable Development on a global scale. The company hinges on new pathways, that are critical in addressing interlinked fault lines, which challenge the financial sector, medical industry and the environment. The overarching aim is to foster young talent and advise early stage companies as to accelerate innovative, game changing outcomes with major societal benefit.
WHO WE ARE
Frank Van Gansbeke is founder and managing partner of a boutique advisory and angel investment firm Goose Creek Ventures, LLC. He is a guest lecturer at Middlebury College where he teaches “Capital Markets” and “Trust in the Finance Industry: 1971-2016”.
Frank has acquired more than 30 years of Senior Executive experience within the Corporate Finance and Capital Markets fields, across the globe (London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris and New-York), mostly within an investment banking environment. Frank is driven by innovation, team building, entrepreneurial drive, expert advice and exquisite deal execution.
Frank is a CFA-holder and obtained (recent) certifications at MIT in FinTech and at Oxford Said Business School in Impact Investing & Private Equity.
Frank is a Middlebury College Performing Arts Council member, where he can pursue his passion for the arts.

ADVISORY
Goose Creek Ventures targets entrepreneurial development within and provides advisory services on a global scale for early-stage companies in FinTech, MedTech and Sustainable Development arena. The services range, non-exclusively, from strategy, true impact measurement, fund raising (including pitch presentation) to deal valuation.
MENTORSHIP
TEACHING
Under the “Professors of the Practice” initiative, Frank teaches the following Interdisciplinary courses at Middlebury College in Vermont.
The “Capital Markets” course surveys instruments traded in the US and international capital markets, the platforms which facilitate their issuance and trading, as well as the motivations of issuers and investors across the full spectrum of asset classes. The course offers functional and institutional perspectives by highlighting the problems market participants are seeking to solve in addition to analyzing asset markets which have evolved to accomplish these goals.
The “Trust in the Finance Industry : 1971-2016” course examines 25 financial crises during the last half century at the intersection of economic theory, trust and crisis management, thereby focusing on public and emerging private (Blockchain and crypto-currencies) response efforts.
MENTORING
Frank provides mentorship to students and young entrepreneurs vying to embrace startup challenges. During mentorship Frank combines structural components of authentic leadership with a focus on principal building blocks of entrepreneurship. The ultimate goal is to offer deeper understanding of growth opportunities as well as a toolkit with which to build foundation and resilience.
